A Milestone in Big Data: Sunline Secures Multi-Million Cooperation with Provincial Rural Credit Union

Sunline has been awarded the contract for a provincial rural credit cooperative’s big data platform construction and data governance project. The company will establish a secure and reliable data platform foundation, focusing on the customer’s strategic goal of digital transformation. This platform will comprehensively support the storage, computation, and utilization of data across various business lines, continuously enhancing the foundational data capabilities. This will further promote the integrated development of business, data, and technology, ultimately enabling high-quality business growth.

In today’s booming digital economy, data has evolved beyond being a mere collection of information, emerging as a core production factor that profoundly impacts the operational models of various industries. As the lifeblood of the national economy, the financial industry must fully leverage the value of data as a production factor to drive a comprehensive leap in digital productivity and, in turn, boost the efficiency of economic operations.

With its profound professional expertise in financial big data, Sunline has cultivated a combined capability of “technology + data” and pioneered the introduction of innovative concepts and technologies such as DataOps. Through independent research and development, Sunline has established a comprehensive data intelligence product system that covers the entire data lifecycle. This system, ranging from business digitization, digital assetization, asset servitization, to service operationalization, provides a one-stop solution, application products, and implementation services for a provincial rural credit cooperative, enabling an integrated data closed-loop!

    Big Data Planning

Through in-depth analysis and research of market trends, customer needs, and industry characteristics, forward-looking and strategic development plans are formulated, including data strategy planning, data architecture planning, data governance planning, and technical architecture planning, to comprehensively address the diverse data needs of customers and provide continuous momentum for the business development of financial institutions.

    Lakehouse Foundation Setup

Utilizing a converged lakehouse and streaming-batching technical architecture, a data foundation is established to efficiently integrate diverse internal and external data, forming an integrated data platform at the bottom layer. This platform enables unified storage, unified computation, and unified services for various data types, providing robust data support for financial institutions.

    Data Asset Management

A data asset management platform is established to automate metadata management, data standard management, data quality management, and master data management. By integrating with data model design and data development processes, it elevates “post-hoc governance” to “pre-emptive control” and ensures the implementation of data standards and metadata.

    Intelligent Tag and Indicator Management

The platform realizes online and standardized management of indicators and tags, ensuring unified definition, computation, processing, and service. Connecting the data backend with data applications, it accumulates indicator and tag data assets, efficiently supporting various applications such as business decision-making, regulatory reporting, risk management, and financial management.

    Multi-scenario Data Services

Focusing on five major application scenarios: business analysis, customer management, risk management, operational management, and regulatory reporting, it has formed solutions such as management cockpits, data dashboards, line-of-business dashboards, branch operation monitoring, intelligent marketing platforms, intelligent risk management platforms, and unified regulatory reporting. These solutions empower financial institutions to enhance business analysis, digital marketing, and risk management capabilities, meet regulatory compliance requirements, and comprehensively enable digital transformation.

Looking ahead, Sunline will delve deeper into industry needs and continue to innovate, constantly exploring the application of new products and technologies in the construction of financial data systems. We aim to help financial institutions fully unleash the potential of data and ignite the “data engine” of financial digital transformation!

  • Sunline and SDIC Securities Collaborate to Develop a Customer-Centric ECIF

Sunline and SDIC Securities Collaborate to Develop a Customer-Centric ECIF

In the journey of exploring digital transformation, SDIC Securities has consistently chosen Sunline as its partner. Since the start of their collaboration in 2021, the jointly built “Enterprise Customer Information Facility (ECIF)” has successfully progressed to the fourth phase. With every trust entrusted, Sunline has responded with 100% dedication and effort, injecting digital momentum into SDIC Securities’ wealth management business.

Smoothening the Channels of Wealth Management

In recent years, the traditional business stronghold of securities firms has been precariously shaken, as evidenced by their operating results. Amid the complexity of the market, wealth management services are poised to become a new profit pillar, fueled by their stellar performance.

To satisfy the increasingly diverse needs of clients, the securities industry has reached a consensus in wealth management: shifting from an “income-driven sales model” to a “client-demand-driven advisory model.” However, the inability to manage client information uniformly would hinder the smooth operation of wealth management services, rendering their growth aspirations futile.

Against this backdrop, SDIC Securities has been relentlessly driving digital transformation, actively implementing a retail-focused strategy, and continuously exploring the application of financial technology in its business areas to comprehensively meet clients’ wealth needs. To further enhance client management capabilities, SDIC Securities has officially launched the “Enterprise Customer Information Facility Project,” aimed at unifying client information standards, centralizing client information management, and improving data sharing, thereby strengthening refined client management capabilities and satisfying regulatory requirements.

    A Complete Transition to a “Customer-Centric” Approach

Addressing SDIC Securities’ urgent need to enhance client information management, the Sunline project team has tailored a real-time online customer service mechanism and, based on this mechanism, collaborated with SDIC Securities to build an ECIF. This system centralizes the registration of clients’ primary information (excluding client business information), unifies identity recognition, and enables real-time sharing of key information. This drives a comprehensive transition in SDIC Securities’ client management, shifting from an “account-centric” approach to a “customer-centric” one.

    Establish Client Information Management Standards:

Develop client information access and coverage principles, review client information quality check rules, unify client account opening and information modification processes, standardize client identity unified recognition standards, and clarify the responsibilities of departments that generate and use client information to ensure the safe and compliant use of client data.

    Create an Enterprise-level Client View:

Rationalize the client data model, confirm the principles for merging and covering client information, achieve client information consolidation, and complete the migration of clients’ primary information (excluding client business information). This provides fundamental data support for refined client management and operations.

Establish an Enterprise-level Client Information Management System:

Set up a client information service mechanism to gradually meet the real-time and batch application of client information required by business systems. Complete the process transformation of important related external business systems to ensure the consistency of information between connected systems and ECIF.

Solidifying the Foundation of Customer Management

To safely and effectively support differentiated client services, Sunline has leveraged its industry experience to build an ECIF for SDIC Securities based on cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices. This system not only provides comprehensive upgrades in unified client information management, client data services, client data event services, and client permission management, but also further unlocks the value of client data.

    Unified Data Service Interface:

It provides real-time, comprehensive, shared, and accurate client information service interfaces for various business systems, including services such as client addition, modification, deletion, query, verification, and authentication.

    Comprehensive Quality Check and Control:

Real-time and batch verification is achieved based on a verification rulebase, and reports allow for viewing the execution of daily verification plans, summaries of daily client information compliance, and the completion status of various branches.

    Strict Access Permission Management:

Permission control is implemented primarily in two aspects: client subjects (table-level) and client field information under client subjects. It also supports setting jurisdictions and business lines according to information barriers, building client information management views, and achieving permission control over client information management.

    Enhanced Client Information Analysis:

It supports the import of various types of business reports, client lists, and other forms. At the same time, it provides functions such as client account opening, client information modification statistics, and client information management monitoring.

Over the past four years, every in-depth discussion and innovative spark has been a vivid portrayal of Sunline and SDIC Securities’ shared journey of perseverance and progress.

This collaborative success story continues as Sunline empowers SDIC Securities to achieve efficient utilization of customer data assets. By providing precise guidance for personalized services, product innovation, market forecasting, and more, Sunline helps SDIC Securities gain a first-mover advantage in the increasingly competitive securities industry and achieve significant growth in its wealth management business.

Longjiang Agri-Guarantee Representatives Visit Sunline for Exchange and Exploration

Vice General Manager Zhen Li and his delegation from Heilongjiang Province Agricultural Financing Guarantee Co., Ltd. (Longjiang Agri-Guarantee) recently visited Sunline’s Beijing branch. Sunline’s Executive Vice President Xiong Lin represented the company and hosted the delegation, engaging in in-depth discussions and exploration on how to utilize financial technology to accelerate the digital upgrade of agricultural credit guarantee systems.

As China’s first provincial policy agricultural credit guarantee company, Longjiang Agri-Guarantee has consistently embraced technological empowerment and continuously promoted financial technology innovation. It has pioneered a path of fiscal and financial collaboration to support agriculture, addressing the challenges of “difficult, expensive, and slow” financing for agricultural development.

Sunline has previously assisted Longjiang Agri-Guarantee in constructing a new generation data platform, which officially launched on March 31, 2024. This platform has established a comprehensive data resource system centered around agricultural guarantee business data. It integrates data collection, computation, storage, service, and governance around core data assets, deeply mining data value. This provides sustainable services for enterprise management decisions and industrial chain ecology.

During the meeting, Vice General Manager Zhen Li of Longjiang Agri-Guarantee expressed that the aforementioned data platform marks a crucial step forward in the company’s modern rural financial path of “light assets,” “light personnel,” and “technological empowerment.” He commended the Sunline professional team for their “Down-to-earth, Meticulous, and Dedicated” spirit demonstrated throughout the project construction. Longjiang Agri-Guarantee is actively advancing its digital transformation and informatization, and he expressed his hope for more communication and exchange with partners like Sunline to jointly explore feasible paths for digital transformation. This collaboration aims to contribute to the construction of a “Digital Heilongjiang.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their commitment to further deepening cooperation and their shared vision of promoting rural revitalization. Looking ahead, Sunline and Longjiang Agri-Guarantee will continue to work hand in hand, with a focus on data elements, to further explore and practice digital transformation. • Sunline Assists Guangfa Bank in Developing a Cutting-edge General Ledger Management System

Sunline Assists Guangfa Bank in Developing a Cutting-edge General Ledger Management System

On May 12, Sunline and China Guangfa Bank Co., Ltd. successfully completed the switchover of their domestically produced full-bank general ledger management system. Since its launch, all application services have been operating continuously and stably, achieving a 100% success rate.

This achievement marks Guangfa Bank’s full realization of independent control over its full-bank general ledger management system, providing a powerful technological driving force for its booming business. This collaboration is another digital benchmark jointly created by Guangfa Bank and Sunline on the path of technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, following the localization of the core system.

    Collaborating to Drive Nationalization Transformation

As one of the first nationwide joint-stock commercial banks established in China, Guangfa Bank has always been at the forefront of the national information technology innovation strategy and digital transformation. The general ledger management system, being the “central nervous system” of the bank’s accounting information system, its independent and controllable renovation and upgrade have become an important choice for Guangfa Bank to reconstruct its technological ecosystem and strengthen its business foundation.

As a full-scenario participant in banking information technology innovation, Sunline has always taken it as its mission to promote the nationalization of banking IT systems. It is also a pioneer in the financial technology industry that first proposed and implemented the concept of “transaction-level general ledger.” Through years of technological accumulation and practical refinement, Sunline has developed a new generation of bank general ledger system that integrates measurement, accounting, management, analysis, and other functions, providing banks with unified, accurate, and timely accounting processing capabilities for various businesses.

Against the backdrop of the continuous emphasis by the national and financial regulatory authorities on the independent controllability of key product technologies, Guangfa Bank decided to collaborate with Sunline to jointly complete the localization transformation of its full-bank general ledger management system.

    Enhancing Business and Technology Together

During the construction of this project, Sunline and Guangfa Bank worked closely together, overcoming numerous challenges, and fully integrating forward-looking business layouts with technological development trends to comprehensively upgrade the bank’s general ledger management and technical architecture.

The localized full-bank general ledger management system of Guangfa Bank is a “new-generation bank general ledger system” jointly developed by Sunline and Guangfa Bank. It fully absorbs the advantages of the original general ledger, such as flexible parameter and value set settings, high-performance batch accounting processing design, and strict accounting management logic.

The new localized general ledger management system also addresses several limitations of the original general ledger by enhancing the flexibility of batch scheduling, batch processing fault tolerance, data provision timeliness, and user experience. It establishes a more comprehensive reconciliation and verification mechanism, achieving excellent upgrades in both business and technical architecture.

At the business level, the project has achieved an improvement in the efficiency of bank-level accounting processing, maximizing and satisfying the management’s timely demand for operational management decision-making data:

    • Integrated the three modules of accounting engine, general ledger management, and asset accounting, effectively enhancing user experience.

    • Satisfied accounting processing in scenarios with large data volumes and high concurrency.

    • Enabled real-time financial accounting, supporting real-time bank-level consolidation and consolidated statement processing.

At the technical architecture level, the project has successfully implemented a fully domesticated information innovation architecture:

    • Employed a microservices architecture, ensuring the scalability and reliability of the system. Through independent service deployment, it reduced the coupling between services, making the system easier to maintain and upgrade.

    • Utilized the domesticated database TiDB, ensuring strong consistency for distributed transactions.

    • Supported horizontal scaling, high availability, and fault self-recovery capabilities.

    • Leveraged the flexibility, portability, high resource utilization, rapid deployment, elastic scalability, ease of management, and maintenance of container clouds to achieve rapid project deployment and simplify management and maintenance processes.

The successful launch of this project marks a significant milestone for Guangfa Bank in achieving technological autonomy and control, laying a solid foundation for the bank’s overall account management. This achievement is not only a crucial step in Guangfa Bank’s digital transformation journey, but also provides a successful practical example for other banks in the industry to explore the localization path for their general ledger management systems.

In the future, Sunline will continue to shoulder the mission and responsibility of being a leader in financial technology, driving more financial partners to accelerate their progress towards an era of digitalization that is autonomous, controllable, efficient, and secure.
