“Core + Data”: Two Flagship Solution Suites

David Li shared Sunline’s success stories across China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand and introduced two major solution suites for the Middle East market: the Next-Gen Core Banking System and Data Governance & Analytics Platform. Sunline’s strategy in the Middle East is shifting from a single-core focus to a dual-engine “Core + Data” approach, integrating core banking with advanced data capabilities, driving globalization across products, ecosystems, and services.

    1. Core-Driven Scenarios

In projects led by the transactional core system, Sunline has introduced its “Dual-Core Architecture“, a fusion of transactional core and data core. The data core acts as an enhancement engine, adding differentiated capabilities such as data analytics, risk control, and intelligent marketing, while enabling AI-driven insights and data assetization.

    2. Data-Driven Scenarios

In data-led engagements, Sunline positions itself as a provider of lightweight middle-platforms and professional banking data services. Leveraging Huawei’s DWS (Data Warehouse Service) Sunline’s ‘DataMind’ platform, Sunline offers end-to-end data solutions, including migration, governance, integration, and customization.

“Sunline‘s expansion in the Middle East will move beyond a single core system to a dual-product “Core + Data” model, through our proprietary core system and data platform, we aim to empower regional financial institutions to accelerate digital transformation, strengthen regulatory compliance, and drive business innovation.” said David Li.

“1+3+1” Strategic Framework: Saudi Arabia at the Core, Radiating Across the Middle East and Central Asia

Sunline has strengthened its regional investment, establishing its Middle East headquarters in Riyadh and adopting the “1+3+1” strategic framework:

The first “1” – Long-term focus on Saudi Arabia

As the largest economy in the Middle East with a concentrated banking landscape, Saudi Arabia sets high standards and entry thresholds but offers equally high potential and value. Sunline is committed to a long-term, trust-based, and locally embedded presence to serve Saudi clients with excellence.

The “3” – Jordan, Lebanon, and Oman as strategic footholds

Adopting a “rural-to-urban” market strategy, Sunline will first establish breakthroughs in these key neighbouring markets, gradually forming an integrated regional fintech ecosystem cantered on Saudi Arabia.

The final “1” – Pakistan as a forward base

With its large population and emerging digital economy, Pakistan serves as the springboard for future expansion into the six Central Asian “-Stan” countries. Over the next three years, Sunline plans to cultivate partnerships and project experience in Pakistan, planting the seeds for long-term development across Central Asia.

Through this strategic framework, Sunline will collaborate with regional partners and leverage its dual “Core + Data” solutions to drive digital transformation and support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.

    Ecosystem Strategy: Partnership and Long-Termism

Sunline integrates local ecosystems with Chinese capabilities using a dual-circulation approach and a Partner Sales model, adapting its strategy in phases:

    Short-Term Strategy: High-Touch Market Entry
In the early phase, Sunline will focus on direct contracting, delivery, and investment to establish its first clients and build market credibility.

Mid-to Long-Term Strategy: Partner Ecosystem Development
Sunline will expand its “Solution Partner Ecosystem,” collaborating with Chinese tech leaders like Tong Dun Technology and FanRuan Software, and local providers in payments, channels, and regulation, replicating its successful multi-layer model across Asia-Pacific.

On the other, Sunline will cooperate with local solution providers in domains like payments, channels, and regulatory systems, replicating the multi-layer partnership model successfully proven across Asia-Pacific.

  • Sunline at Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025: Navigating the Frontiers for Global Markets

Sunline at Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025: Navigating the Frontiers for Global Markets

On November 3rd, 2025, the prestigious Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK Entrepreneurship Festival 2025 kicked off in Hong Kong, bringing together top players in the global fintech industry. As a leading global fintech solution provider, Sunline was invited to participate in the core forum — “Global Innovation and Smart China Forum”, showcasing the strength and intelligence of Chinese fintech companies to the world.

At the forum, Jacqueline Niu, Vice President of Sunline, was a key speaker at the roundtable discussion on the topic themed “Navigating The Frontiers for Global Markets”, from ‘Scale Expansion’ to ‘Focused Development’: The Path and Practical Blueprint for Global Expansion”. Alongside representatives from international financial institutions, investment agencies, and pioneers in cross-border business, Jacqueline shared insights into the challenges and opportunities of global expansion and collaboration, systematically outlining Sunline’s deep exploration and ecological partnerships in its globalization journey.

Building Global Capabilities and Achieving Deep Local Integration

In discussing Sunline’s journey from initial exploration to deep localization in international markets, Jacqueline Niu highlighted that the company’s globalization process has not been without challenges. However, through continuous breakthroughs in product strategy, delivery systems, and organizational talent, Sunline has gradually built a replicable and sustainable global framework.

In the early stages of expansion, Sunline faced significant differences in regulatory requirements, business practices, and user mindsets across different countries. The product initially went through a highly customized phase. To balance the challenges between standardization and localization, Sunline refined its proven domestic systems, creating a layered architecture with a universal core standard layer and a flexible, scalable client layer. This structure, enhanced with AI capabilities and data intelligence frameworks, ensures the core product remains replicable while agilely adapting to the diverse needs of global markets.

Simultaneously, Sunline upgraded its delivery approach. The traditional “on-site heavy delivery” model encountered challenges like high communication costs and difficultyin resource allocation for cross-border projects. To address this, Sunline developed an innovative model combining a centralized delivery center with on-site expert support, standardizing methods and tools for system integration and data migration, which significantly improved both efficiency and control across multinational projects.

The local integration of teams and talent is also a key factor in the success of global expansion. Sunline adheres to the principle of “China-foreign collaboration”, leveraging domestic expertise and integrating it with local teams to drive knowledge transfer and co-building. Additionally, the company rapidly established local platforms for administrative, human resources, and taxation teams, ensuring a solid foundation for sustainable local operations.

Creating an Open and Win-Win Local Ecosystem to Share Global Digital Benefits

Regarding the building of local ecosystems, Jacqueline Niu emphasized that for companies to truly establish themselves internationally, they must not operate in isolation. Instead, a sustainable and replicable open ecosystem must be created. She stated, “Sunline’s global expansion proves that this process is not achieved overnight. Companies must adhere to a long-term vision and embrace the ‘open and win-win’ ecosystem philosophy.”

Sunline focuses on building ecosystems centered around customer value, with a strategic layout that includes Hong Kong and Singapore as key hubs. This strategy has laid a solid foundation for deepening its expansion and building a global network of collaborations. In recent years, Sunline has built a comprehensive four-dimensional cooperative network covering sales, solutions, implementation, and operations. By partnering with channels, consultants, cloud services, infrastructure providers, and local system integrators, Sunline has achieved full coverage from market access to last-mile delivery, forming a sustainable and replicable win-win model. This open ecosystem ensures the company’s ability to settle in, grow steadily, and move forward..

A Decade of Progress and Success

With over 60 clients in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, Sunline has demonstrated its strong competitive edge in international markets. The company has become one of the few fintech firms in China to successfully enter overseas markets with a standardized product. As the digital transformation needs of emerging markets such as the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America accelerate, Sunline is actively seizing market opportunities and positioning itself in diverse markets.

From Global Expansion to Rooted Success in the Global Fintech Landscape

In the past decade, Sunline has written a new chapter in the globalization of Chinese fintech. Looking ahead, Sunline will continue to adopt a more open posture, with a more mature system to empower the global financial industry’s digital transformation. Together with partners, Sunline aims to build a more resilient, secure, and intelligent financial ecosystem for the future.

  • Transforming China’s Local AMC Operations Under New Regulations: Sunline Wins a Strategic Core System Deal

Transforming China’s Local AMC Operations Under New Regulations: Sunline Wins a Strategic Core System Deal

Recently, Sunline successfully secured the contract for an information system construction project for a China local asset management company, leveraging its strong comprehensive capabilities and mature solutions. This project is the first core business system construction initiative launched by local AMCs following the official implementation of the “Interim Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Local Asset Management Companies” (the “New Regulations”). It holds significant industry demonstration value.

Sunline will tailor a core business system that fully meets the business development demands, aligns with the new regulatory guidelines, and satisfies internal management requirements.

Precision Alignment: Strengthening Compliance and Risk Control

On July 15, 2025, China’s “Interim Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Local Asset Management Companies” were officially released, marking the establishment of a nationwide unified regulatory framework. This indicates that local AMCs are entering a new phase of regulated and standardized development. Building on previous policy guidelines, the new regulations require local AMCs to standardize business operations and strengthen risk management. Additionally, it introduces six types of quantitative regulatory indicators, effectively improving the enforceability of oversight.

In this context, Sunline will work closely with the asset management company to enhance the integration of business and technology, while comprehensively supporting the improvement of internal controls, ensuring business compliance, and safeguarding steady development under the regulatory focus on “returning to the basics and focusing on core business.”

Empowering Technology: Achieving Sophisticated Management of Non-Performing Assets

As the market for non-performing assets gradually becomes more specialized and refined, leveraging technology to empower business processes and implement strategic development requirements can further enhance the core competitiveness of AMCs. In this project, Sunline will leverage its extensive experience in the AMC sector to build a core business system that meets all the key operational requirements of the asset management company.

This system will provide full lifecycle management for various business stages, from pre-investment to post-investment, while improving business management precision. It will meet complex transaction scenario needs, achieve “business and finance integration,” strengthen compliance management and data application capabilities, and fully comply with the requirements for digital infrastructure development, aiming to set a new benchmark for technology empowerment in local AMCs.

Industry Expertise: Leading the Digital Transformation of AMCs

Sunline has been deeply involved in the non-performing asset industry and has already served over 30 national and local AMC clients, creating a complete product portfolio covering both corporate and individual loan businesses in the past decade. This project is another key step for Sunline in expanding its presence in the local AMC market, following recent successes in the central and southwest regions.

The project covers both corporate and individual loan businesses, highlighting Sunline’s comprehensive capabilities in the non-performing asset sector and its leading position in the digitalization of special assets. This collaboration is not only a pioneering practice in the “digital core” development for local AMCs post-regulation but also a model case for deep integration of digital assets. Moving forward, Sunline will continue to use innovation as a driving force, relying on its advanced fintech capabilities and rich industry insights to help more asset companies achieve high-quality digital transformation.

    Yantai Bank × Sunline

The Only Banking Data Case Recognized

At the conference, the project “DataOps Empowering Yantai Bank to Build a High-Quality Intelligent Data Hub”, jointly developed by Sunline, was honored as one of CAICT’s “High-Quality Digital Transformation Typical Cases (First Half of 2025)”. It was the only banking data-related case selected, highlighting its innovation and representativeness in the digital transformation of the banking sector.

Currently, banks are accelerating transformation towards “online, intelligent, and data-driven” operations. Against this backdrop, Yantai Bank regards efficient management and deep mining of data assets as a core element of competitiveness. Together with Sunline, the bank launched a lakehouse-integrated intelligent data hub project to break down “data silos” and create a new ecosystem of coordinated development between business, data, and technology.

As a strategic project for Yantai Bank’s intelligent transformation, the initiative innovatively combines a lakehouse architecture with advanced frameworks, building a full-chain system covering data ingestion, sharing, and service. By creating user-friendly data portals and highly collaborative DevOps platforms, it integrates the bank’s data resources, forming standardized and systematic data assets. This has strongly driven the deep integration of data, technology, and business—essentially constructing Yantai Bank’s “data highway.”

By the end of March 2025, the intelligent data hub project was fully launched, delivering five major breakthroughs that established a benchmark for data-driven banking transformation:

    1. Upgraded Data Service Capabilities

Built a unified DataOps platform and enterprise-wide data portal, integrating resources, breaking silos, and providing consistent analytics, visualization, asset, and multidimensional query services to directly empower business decisions.

    2. Refined Data Asset System

Managed over 4,000 data assets (indicators, reports, labels, models, etc.), developed 10+ data quality control scenarios, and ensured accuracy through dual technical and business validation. Achieved centralized management, efficient reuse, and large-scale value release while advancing governance.

    3. Optimized Technical Architecture

Constructed a lakehouse-integrated platform with multimodal storage engines, supporting both batch and streaming processing. Adopted layered architecture (ingestion/sharing/service) with elastic scalability for efficient asset management and agile business innovation.

    4. Business Scenario Empowerment

Enabled real-time dashboards and data portals for multidimensional asset monitoring, serving as a “barometer” for operations. Focused on core reports for fast insights and precise decision-making, driving business value conversion.

    5. Significant Cost Reduction and Efficiency Gains

Cross-department workflows were reduced from 7 person-days before deployment (with inconsistencies) to 1 person-day post-deployment—improving efficiency sevenfold. Centralized management delivered significant operational benefits, showcasing the core value of a middle platform in “cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and empowerment.”

Multiple Products and Solutions Endorsed by CAICT

During the event, CAICT officially released the “Panoramic Map of High-Quality Digital Transformation Products and Services (First Half of 2025)”. The map highlights domestic enterprises with outstanding market performance and commercial value, aiming to provide a benchmark reference for digital transformation across industries.

In addition, two of Sunline’s technical solutions—DataMind and the Unified Regulatory Reporting System—were also included in CAICT’s “High-Quality Digital Transformation Technology Solution Collection (2025)”, further demonstrating advanced architecture, innovative application, and high promotion value.

At the roundtable forum, Sunline’s Head of Data Business Solutions emphasized DataMind’s alignment with the upcoming 16th Five-Year Plan (十五五) digitalization trends:

The plan is expected to raise higher requirements for financial institutions in areas such as independent controllability, security compliance, and deeper data value creation. Traditional “patchwork” solutions can no longer meet these demands. DataMind is positioned to become the “intelligent brain” of financial institutions—simplifying engineering through platformization, improving timeliness with real-time capabilities, enhancing sharing through service orientation, and linking business with scenario-based applications. This helps financial institutions build the intelligent data core capabilities required under the 16th Five-Year Plan.

    Looking ahead

Sunline will continue to drive innovation, leveraging its end-to-end big data solutions spanning intelligent integration platforms, data resource management, data service management, data application management, and data asset management.
